Liz Schwier

Ceramicist

Liz is a Potter living and working in North East Essex who has 30 years experience as a professional ceramicist. She concentrates on designing and making in her studio, exhibiting and working to commission.

Liz experiments with a range of glazes and firing techniques to enhance her finely thrown small and large domestic ware. Her meticulous attention to form and balance are central to her vision.

Liz also enjoys the challenge and diversity of adapting her skills to make commissioned work for theatre, film and larger terracotta pieces for heritage building restoration, and is currently using high fired terracotta to develop more sculptural abstract forms.
